1. What is Online Interior Design?

The Online Interior Design Service from Anya H Interiors is a revolutionary offering to the traditional Interior Design service, enabling clients to achieve their personal design goals for their homes as they work interactively with a team of professional designers through a design assessment, photos and measurements – all for a fixed fee and at a fraction of the cost of traditional Onsite Design Services.

The whole design process is undertaken at your leisure. All items in your customised Design & Inspiration Package will be available for you to purchase online or from local retailers. We will provide comprehensive information for all recommend items and weblinks to the suppliers.

 

2. How can my room be personal to my family’s needs?

Each scheme is unique to you, your home and your family. We never use template design. We design the room with your specific requirements in mind based upon the information you give us. The more information you give us, the more we get to know your needs, tastes and challenges for your room.

 

3. If I have questions about my Design & Inspiration Package after I receive it, will someone help me?

You will receive a Design Direction in your Package that will explain why various design decisions have been made but if you’ve any other questions our design team is here to help, please feel free to contact us.

 

4. Will you make any revisions to my plan if I don’t like some detail or feature?

If something doesn’t work for you, tell us about it and we will do one revision free of charge. We want you to be entirely happy with your design.

 

5. Do you only offer this service to people who live in Sydney?
Our office is based in Sydney, but the advantage of our Online Interior Design Service is that it does not matter where you live in Australia – in the middle of the city or in the bush – as it is not a face to face service, but online (via emails and an initial phone briefing).

 

6. Will I need to spend a lot of money in order to implement your design plan?

Not at all. Our design recommendations are flexible and are merely a guideline for you to create a coordinated room scheme. All recommended items can be substituted with less expensive (or more expensive) options to suit your budget.

 

7. What happens if I wait to purchase an item and it’s no longer available?

We always check availability at the time of specifying and recommend that you purchase items as soon as possible after receiving your plan. However if an item isn’t available within 3 months of you receiving your plan, we will happily source an alternative for you.

 

8. Is there a maximum room size for the ‘price per room’?

Please note that any space exceeding 10 metres in either direction will be considered more than a single room.

 

9. How will I know how to implement your recommended Design?

In your Package you will have your Personal Design Plan explaining the scheme and the various design decisions we have made. The scale floor plan will show exactly where each item is to be placed and the detailed key will provide you with product information and web links direct to the suppliers of all recommended items.

 

10. Can I get a refund?

We do not provide refunds. We take great pride and care in providing you with a personalised professional service. In the event that you require some further assistance when you have received your Design & Inspiration Package please don’t hesitate to contact us (link to contact page).

 

11. Do you offer a face-to-face interior design service?

Yes we do, this is called the ‘Onsite Interior Design Service’ (link to Onsite Interior Design page). This is run on a face-to-face basis at the client’s property. 12. What happens to my personal information and photos?

We will keep your information on file but do not pass any information to any other companies.

 

13. How do I Measure my Room?

Take a plain piece of paper (or graph paper if you happen to have any). Please don’t worry about drawing straight lines or getting the proportions correct. As long as we can read it and all the measurements are accurate. That’s what matters.

Step 1. Imagine you are floating above your room, looking down. Now draw the shape you see. Our example room below is a fairly simple rectangle with a small hallway jutting off to the bottom.

Step 2. Put windows and doors into your drawing. Indicate windows and doors as shown in the example below. Please take care to indicate the direction in which the door opens using the curved arrow, again as per the example beliw. If your room has alcoves or columns, please also show them.

Step 3. Now draw in anything, which is fixed to the walls of the room such as a fireplace, built in cabinets or wardrobes, TV etc that you want to keep. For kitchens also show appliances (cooker, fridge etc) and for bathrooms show all sanitary ware (toilet, basin, shower, bath etc).

Step 4. Now name everything.

Step 5. Almost finished… please draw on and name all the electrical points, TV aerial points, light switches.
